A Walk ON the River and a Blaze of Autumn Color with NX1
3

With abundant sunshine, this weekend was the peak of Autumn color in the Hudson Valley. So I traveled up river on the Hudson Highlands, including a stop at the "Walkway Over The Hudson". The Walkway is a 1¼ mile long footbridge that is 212 feet above the river and crosses from Highland NY to Poughkeepsie NY. A number of the images are broad panoramas all photographed with the 16-50mm f/2.0-2.8 S lens, stitched in either MS ICE or Photoshop. Two of the panoramas, 9 images each and shown below, together give a 360° view from the center of the Walkway. My 50-150mm f/2.8 S and 60mm f/2.8 Macro are getting very lonely these days with the 16-50mm being my workhorse for Autumn landscapes.

First up, here is the view from the Walkway:

All images and a full screen slideshow can be found at the link below.

Link to the Walkway is here.

And next, a blaze of Autumn color in the Hudson Highlands:

All images and a full screen slideshow can be found at the link below.

Link to the Blaze is here.

The first image in the Blaze link shows the above view of Storm King Mountain just 11 days prior to this image when the color was just beginning to change.

I hope you enjoy this visit to the Scenic Hudson Valley. As always, comments are welcome.
