Yes, it could do. I don't think it will by much personally, but it could, so in the interest of accuracy I'll repeat the test tomorrow or Friday just so we can be sure.

No, not at all. I welcome constructive criticism. To be honest, since I mentioned it in my post it's been at the back of my mind as to how much a difference the re-framing would make to the blur so I'm interested to see the results myself because if it turns out that they behave completely similarly then I won't have to buy this Sigma!
