I am so tired of explaining to sigma defenders.... All the information are in that thread I posted. The test is fair both images nailed the focus at the middle of the palm tree trunk.

Pah. Yes, that's right, that's what's going on here - I'm a "Sigma defender" even though I OWN the Canon 35mm f/2 IS... Yes, you're right, it's me that's being overly defensive with brand here. My statement "Sigma bokeh is no match for 35L II!" gives me away.

...Oh, wait, that wasn't my statement. Hmm. Weird.

What information was in that post you made to those god-awful crops btw? There was just a link to a flickr page with corner crops of images which look like they were taken at maximum ISO. Or did I miss something?

What you did in your post is pixel peeping too. Honestly, who compares images in 100% in real life if he or she isnt pixel peeping?

Eh? How on earth do you work that out? I posted FULL FRAME images of the ENTIRE photographs so people could see the background:foreground separation.

...Have you been reading the right post?

Cheers,

Mark.

The reason I said art is no match for 35L II is because it is the truth! (well sigma is 1/2 the cost)

Comparing 35mm f2 IS to 35mm art in my opinion is a mismatch.

My last post here in this thread. I didnt mean to hijack this thread in the first place.

Information in the link I posted

You obviously have problem navigating....

good day to you and goodbye.

I dont think this is a mismatch. Its for people who have to decide if they want to spend 750 for Sigma or 550 for Canon. Yes now there is one more like the Canon 35mm 1.4 II. Well thats for people can spend double or triple the money.
