As do the Panasonic G6 and G7 - the electronic shutter on the G7 can shoot as fast as 1/16,000 second. I have a G5, and I use the silent electronic shutter when shooting at classical music events - even the very-quiet-but-not-silent shutter of my E-M5 is way too loud in a concert hall.

Just for completeness, the electronic shutter on the G5 does not necessarily mean absolutely silent shooting, there is the slight "hiss" sound of the lens auto-focusing and then a very faint click (only audible in entirely silent rooms) just before the exposure; I think it's the aperture closing down.
