I want to know if the Canon PowerShot ELPH 500 HS 12.1 MP CMOS Digital Camera with Full HD is better for low light photo's than the Power Shot sx500 is? witch is what I have is the last one I mentioned!, and just witch Camera is the best for low light concert situations, thanks

Neither will be great for low light without flash. You need the biggest sensor and fastest lens you can manage, considering the better you get the larger and more expensive the cameras get.

Right now, the Canon g7x is about the best you can get for a small, reasonably priced camera if photo quality is your main concern. It has a much bigger sensor and much faster lens (though less zoom than your camera), and the photos in low light will be far, far better. It goes for around $599.

If you care a lot about video or want something a little cheaper, the older Sony rx100 (the first one) is a good choice. The results won't be quite as good when zoomed in, but you can probably find one of these around $400. The Canon g16 is another option if you want a little more zoom and can sacrifice some image quality, also around $400.

Keep in mind these cameras give up some zoom for their better image quality, so you need to have some decent seats to get real closeup shots!
