Just wanted to know if the AF is an improvement to the previous models? Does the AF speed suffer when using EF lenses? Is it quick like the competitors?

I didn't use the M or M2, so I can't compare. But the AF on the M3 is pretty zippy, and worked well and fast with pretty much all the EF and EF-S lenses I tried, not just Canon, but also some odd ones like the Sigma 15-30mm, Sigma 120-400mm, and even a 12 year old Sigma 70-200mm.

(One exception is my Tamron EF 150-600mm, which doesn't autofocus at all right now on the M3. I understand it works fine with a firmware upgrade.)
