Great imaging, but not always; due to design flaws and technichal limitations

There is no doubting the light metering and sensor quality, the images this camera can produce are great - and RAW mode too! Low and natural light photography is great with it. The user definable dial on the lens body is also fabulous. The design flaws relate to usability, other than the slow focus mentioned in previous posts, I often miss the point of focus indicated on the rear screen and end up with an out of focus image, especially outdoors when its bright. The main bug-bear I have is with the exposed function dial that too easliy self selects a mode I dont want. The dial is too exposed and too easily bumped into another setting. I want my camera to remain in the same mode I left it so I can pick it up and use it knowing what it will do - too often not the case with the G1X II which has resulted in many missed photographs.
