Are you sure about the 3-axis IBIS? I thought the E-PL5 and E-PL6 were virtually identical.

Yes, based on Olympus' own description included on Amazon, scroll to the bottom of the page in the link:

http://www.amazon.com/Olympus-E-PL6-Digital-Camera-14-42mm/dp/B00VNW5ALS/ref=sr_1_1?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1444826893&sr=1-1&keywords=olympus+pen+e-pl6

I, too, was very surprised to see this since Olympus doesn't mention it in their PR release nor does DPR in their accompanying description.

I thought the E-PL6's primary differentiator was it was packaged with the pancake zoom, yet instead their standard zoom is included and 3-axis IBIS described as a feature. I'll take this latter combination any day, the standard zoom being optically better in tests and 3-axis IBIS appearing to be a major leap forward in effectiveness.

Makes me question paying close to $300 more for an E-PL7 2 lens kit (the E-M10 2 lens kit is only $200 more and it has a very good EVF, go figure Olympus' pricing strategy). The E-PL6 even includes the 3"flip screen allowing for selfies, not that it matters much to me.
