Re: On Panny EVF

I had a TZ60 which was useable. They are nice as a backup in bright light just for framing. I do not see any reason why they should be high res as often they can be misleading as regards what the final image looks like. The A6000 dropped the resolution of the NEX 6 but was a better indicator of the final image from what I have read. I had a NX100 add on EVF with a very low resolution but it was helpful all the same.

The LX100 has good write ups but there have been troubles with the diopter according to some posts. You probably have a point so it is open to what each person wants.

yes, they did manage to place one on the left side of the camera but they're almost unusable AFAIC, especially the ones on the GX7 and LX100 (forget about the LF1)

They finally made a decent one on the GX8 but it 's huge , it protrudes out like a sore thumb and transforms the body into a giant monster

There's no perfect solution for a bright hi res EVF as yet as far as the left corner is concerned

Don't think I want a Canon GXX camera in the size of a Panny GX8!

We'll have to learn to live with the faux prism; besides these do house a real usable EVF like what Canon will offer (I hope)

Cheers,
