You see it in C-AF+H-seq while shooting. You get nice roundish area shown.

This is only displayed when using a 43 lens. Not when using m43 glass.

You see it with m4/3 after firmware 3.0. But as I said, only when you take images. Even the HDR and exposure bracketing modes shows that PDAF area when taking images.

https://youtu.be/Ol-5ry8SQ8oo like that but not when focusing or using live view normally.

This video only demonstrates live view with 43 lenses.

AS EXAMPLE! Really, so difficult to understand a example what kind roundish PDAF focus area you see when using a m4/3 and taking images with mentioned modes?

While I have to agree with Airmel, I think I did see a larger, light black, round focusing area at one point while playing with the settings. It is nothing like what is depicted in the video you depicted which shows the outline of the 37 points that are available with 43 lenses only, so it seems. I have m43 lenses only and running 3.1 firmware on the E-M1. Thanks to all on this post for your help though. The bottom line is that the E- M1 is the best of the OMD's for action shooting. I think we all agree on that.

I didn't say you see that AF focus group selection grid like in that GIF, you just get to see the PDAF group area like in the video with the roundish edges so you know PDAF is used and you can keep subject inside the PDAF area as you see it.
