Why Does DPR Default To The WRONG Time Zone?

I checked my recent threads with pictures posted here and found that -

when you hover the mouse over the image to display basic EXIF, it OFTEN shows the WRONG time zone because DPR uses the default GMT.

This is apparently because (at least) the SD1M cannot set a recognisable Time Zone.

For the picture of the Sun in this thread, the EXIF (shown when hovering) says "11:50:35 GMT".

It was actually GMT +10.

So now what?
