I have the 14-140 f/3.5 to whatever which is the Mark II.  I didn't really expect it to be as good as it is, it has become the lens that stays on my camera by default, unless I need something special (like the 25mm f/1.4 for very low light).   I have the older 45-200mm lens and the 14-140mm Mk II is noticably sharper. Someone else wrote that it seems sharpest at f/8.   OK, could be, but in general I shoot at the lowest f stop it can provide, and I'm still happy.
