Re: Any opinion about Olympus XZ-2 ? (nt)

You might ask for opinions on the XZ-2 over at the Olympus compact forum, where the XZ/Stylus/TG/SH users hang out.

I didn't read a lot of the replies, but in terms of the original question, the E-PM1 is the older camera than the E-PM2. It has the older 12MP sensor, while the E-PM2 uses the 16MP sensor that was first used with the E-M5. The 16MP sensor is perhaps 1 f/stop better at low light.

I never used the E-PM1, but I recall it was more stripped down than then E-PM2 is in terms of having programmable buttons. For a basic camera, it may not matter as much. I do have the E-PM2, and it is a fun camera, but other cameras have replaced it (E-M5, Stylus-1) and I don't bring it out as much these days.
