PS Enjoy your new 14! Hope you got it for a good price. I got mine for $140 from Korea. If 14 was one of my preferred FL's I'm sure I would like it more and forgive its weaknesses more!

Thanks for your reply. Much obliged. I do actually like the 28mm, albeit, I would probably like 24mm (Oly 12mm) even more. Still, I would also like the small size of the 14mm. Many times I would bring my 14-45mm just for the 14mm. The 14mm would drastically save space.

As for your tests, that is odd. I have always thought the 14mm was optically better than the Oly 17mm 2.8. And the tests I have read also seems to say that as well. Course it could be sample variatoin. Then again, the differences in your photos are minute and wouldn't notice unless you are to pixel peek or do some drastic cropping so I guess I wouldn't mind too much (specially since i have seen many awesome shots with the 17mm 2.8).

Any how, thanks again for the tests. Very much appreciated And yes, if you like the 17mm FL more and the 17mm also seems to be optically better, I would surely pick the 17mm over the 14mm. Although, personally, I think I like both FL's equally
