Are you talking cameras in general will break or wear out in 5 years, or Sony cameras specifically? Asking, because, I have yet to own a digital camera that has...worn out or died...(knock on wood).

Whatever the case, I have no inclination of trashing any digital camera...then again, I have a thing for antique cameras (look below) so I may be in the minority but throwing out cameras? Just not my thing.
