1) used Oly EPM1

2) used Oly EPM2 (rather expensive)

3) used Panny GM1 (best but even more expensive)

4) used Sony RX 100 (even more expensive!!)

The EPM1 can be found in ebay rather cheap, but is it worth it? I will complement it at the beginning with the 20mm/1.7 and later either with the Oly 17/2.5 or the Pany 14/2.5

I have both the GM1 and RX100 MK1. Both very fine cameras. I prefer the GM1, but that is mostly personal preference and both are very good carry along cameras. The RX100 is more pocketable do to the lens collapsing into the body making it a good bit thinner. The GM1 (w kit lens) starts wider at 24mm equiv, but only goes to 64mm equiv, where the RX100 goes from 28-100 equiv. Image quality is a wash for most purposes. The GM1 has a larger sensor, but the RX100 has a faster lens so that mostly offsets the sensor advantage.

If you just want something pocketable the RX100 is hard to beat because it is truely pants pocketable. The GM1 needs big pockets to carry and is more bulky.

If you are interested in a camera to use with other lenses the GM1 wins hands down in my book. I wouldn't consider either of the Oly EPM cameras. The GM1 is a marvel of engineering and a joy to use. Be warned the kit lens is very good and I rarely take it off. I do sometimes carry an Oly 45/1.8 along if I need more reach and or speed. It makes a nice compliment to the kit lens. I already had the Oly but if I was buying now I would get the Panny 42.5/1.7 due to the in lens IS.
