It was really clear and helpful article about OIS/IBIS. Thank you so much Guy!

When I bought my E-PL5 I sorted this all out in a quiet room by listening to what the OIS or IBIS was doing, both with switched and with unswitched OIS lenses. So I would not forget the rules I made those notes, which has proved handy for others.

Another issue is MySets and assigning them to the Mode dial, many have problems with that so another page was born.... http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~parsog/olyepl1/52-epl5-mymodes.html

I was supposed to get this information from Olympus or Panasonic support...

Seems to be a waste of time to contact them, they know nothing about their own products. One night at an Olympus sponsored night shoot in Sydney the Olympus sales rep was asking me to answer some questions for others. They just don't know.

Now i'm about to test shots based on I learned today on your article

The Olympus 5 axis IBIS is really preferable, but OIS does work pretty well. Some say OIS is better than IBIS for longer tele lenses, but for me the 5 axis IBIS works OK at 300mm so I'm not sure what they are doing.

Regards..... Guy
