Re: 760D impressions

I have no issue pushing the correct button for ISO,  but the issue with eV adjustment is even worse than you describe.  It is very difficult for anyone with normal or large hands to turn the adjustment wheel without accidentally activating one of the rockers.

It seems pretty clear that Canon is substantially behind with image quality/sensor performance, but as Canon users we used to still find some satisfaction in superior ergonomics and a large selection of lenses.  It seems Canon has also slipped on ergonomics and for no reason since they previously had better controls.  I don't know about lenses but I suspect that argument is also thin.  Other manufacturers provide a variety of choices in addition to lenses that are available from 3rd party manufacturers.  I want to feel good about my decision to use Canon, but unfortunately Canon keeps making that difficult.  When asked, I still advice friends and relatives to make different choices.

I suspect the choice of manufacturers makes little difference.  The DSLR market seems to be falling apart at a rapid rate.  I am currently touring national parks in the western US.  DSLR camera users are a fraction of what I saw a couple of years ago.  Small cameras on selfie sticks are now very popular.  I feel like an old fool toting a DSLR, lenses and accessories.
