I got good deals with both EPL-5 and Panasonic G5 (both with kit lenses).

Am considering to get a walk around lens for travelling, M.Zuiko 14-150 (without image stabilizer) or Panasonic 14-140 (with built in I.O.S.), same lens can fit both camera. Do anyone has experience about these 2 lenses? Because prices are almost equal on eBay.

Besides there is a older version starting with F4, newer with F3.5. Price difference almost triple, do the newer lens work 3 times better than the older one?

I am not a serious photographer, just like to travel, fallen in lover with M4/3 sensors rather than using my small sensor FZ150 and FZ200 for more than 6 years.

Opinion appreciated.

I suspected that Panny's 14-140 might be the mark 1 version? (f/4~5.8, vs M2's f/3.5~5.6)

Not only the M1 i sheavier (460g vs 265g) and larger (84mm long vs 75mm), optically M1 is also not as good as M2.

If you got G5 14-140 would be your best option (OIS for the long end). If you got EPL-5, either lens might be alright due to the IBIS of EPL-5 (M1's old OIS not as effective as M2 on the long end, likely not much different to use IBIS of EPL-5).

P.S. Not my experience but IIRC, I heard that IQ of 14-150 M1 is not as good as M2 or its siblings.
