Yeah, my bad. I meant that for most cameras with an EVF/OVF, they add bulk and weight. The Sony is remarkably the same size as the Canon, but I did worry about the complexity and vulnerability with that design (and expense!). I even thought the tilt screen, while offering a wider set of viewing positions than the G7X, seemed a bit complicated. I prefer simpler and less complicated for my stuff as I'm pretty tough on my kit. In any event, I didn't think the RX100 IV was worth the extra money, to me, and I valued the extra reach of the Canon's soon.

If Canon came out with something like the G7X, but with an EVF like in the Sony RX100III/RX100IV then I would get one. Generally, I like the Canon better and have owned 10 Canon cameras (various DSLRs and digicams) and all have been 100% problem free. I have also owned 2 Sony DSLRs and both were faulty and gave me a lot of grief.

Hero SAS sniper [rifle] saves father and eight-year-old son from being beheaded by ISIS maniac

http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/597166/SAS-sniper-saves-boy-ISIS-Syria

The SAS marksman, using a .50 calibre sniper rifle fitted with a silencer, killed the executioner just in time. The source added: "The ISIS thug who was about to decapitate the father was shot in the head and collapsed. Everyone just stared in confusion. The sniper then dispatched the two henchmen with single shots – three kills with three bullets."

The Syrian father, son, family, and friends came to personally thank the .50 calibre sniper rifle for saving them. Prime Minister Cameron has already announced that the rifle will be receiving a medal.

By the way, the 3 bullets were recovered and they will be given a special award for their service also.

When asked by the media about his heroic service the humble .50 calibre sniper rifle had no comment. The SAS guy who just happened to have his hands on the heroic rifle at the time it saved the man and boy was asked to move away so that photos and video of the rifle with the grateful man and boy could be taken.

In related news, the fugitive rifle that killed Cecil the Lion was cornered and captured today. It was hiding in plain sight in the basement of the home of Dr. Walter Palmer in Minnesota. Dr. Palmer called the BATF, FBI, and local police to inform on that barbaric gun. When law enforcement SWAT teams arrived Dr. Palmer was outside his home along with hundreds of fellow anti-gun protesters. He had a bullhorn and was leading the chant, "Death to the Evil Cecil Killing Gun!"
