Hi all,
I use my 17-40L for daylight shooting mostly during hikes/trips/vacation in the city and nature, but it's really too soft for my taste. Because of that I've been taking lately my 35L instead of the 17-40, but too many times the 35 is not wide enough...
The natural candidate is the 16-35 f/4L IS, however it is quite heavy and big, so I wondered if anyone has in mind other options I should consider?
I don't mind getting a prime in the wide side of this range, since the 5Ds allows plenty of cropping. However, I would still appreciate a zoom, since I couple this lens with the 70-300L when I travel light.
Note that I am interested in AF lenses only. Thanks in advance for sharing your opinion!
I agree with mclaren-----the 16-35/4 L IS is awesome! Extremely sharp and I don't think it is heavy and big. The 24-105/4 L IS used to be my fave walkabout lens but now I like the 16-35 even more for my 5DS.
cheers,
José
