Sure it will, using the Olympus 14-150mm lens, it will get exactly the same focal range that the Stylus1 does (i.e. equivalent to 28-300mm in a 35mm film camera). Now, the 14-150mm adds $500 to the price, and at the long end it is f/5.6, or 2 stops slower than the f/2.8 in the Stylus1. But with the larger sensor, you can push higher ISO's, and so it is likely a wash.

Now, on some cameras, the clip-on/pop-up flash might have a shadow from the lens, and if you were going to do flash, you would need an external flash, or carry around the smaller kit lens to use with it.

The main thing the Stylus1 has is it is much smaller, particularly when turned off, and it can fit in a jacket pocket. A secondary thing the Stylus1 has is flash can sync at just about any speed without having to use an external flash with FP-TTL mode.

Yes but what about macro ? You would need a separate lens...
