The dials on mine are still usable, but the problem is there. I might have it repaired the next time I am in the States, but I am hesitating because of the experience of people like Jim who have seen the repair go bad.

I had mine fixed in the Europe repair centre which I believe is in Portugal. Very quick turn around.! They replaced the dials and top and bottom plates. Seeming I had a couple of scratches I was well pleased.  The new dials certainly feel better than the old ones ever did.

I do hope you solve this as for me at least the camera has been an unbeatable form factor and bang for your buck.
