were most probably already reported here, but...

Being on the press event, I can say that whole line looks very promissing, with two really new designs 50/1.4 and 85/1.4 being most appealing, with completely new optical design.

I am trying to cover most of event on my blog in a rolling report and I hope to be able to post some low res test images with Sony A7/r tonight and hi res within 48hours.

Because we will have chnace to try those lenses also tomorrow, if you have any specific questions, please let me know and I will try to ask Zeiss representatives on site.

Milvus was main announcement today, but not only one... We were however asked to keep silent for about month or so, but I can say that Sony users who likes Zeiss will be pleasantly surprised (you can probably check rumor sites, I am sure, this is not going to stay under cover for long anyway...)

Looks pretty blah to me at least adapted to E-mount, Loxia and Batis are where it's at. I'm sure they are great for DSLR users.

The Milvus 50 1.4 is an 875G expensive "legacy" lens basically. No exif, no auto-focus magnification.

Or you could have a Loxia 50 that's 320G, does have all that and is a lot cheaper
