Re: Al,

Thanks so much.  This is the thread I was looking for.  I recently purchased the 1758 teleextender after coming across some of your other threads.  I'd been shooting with my D600 and handing my A6000 (before purchasing the extender) to my father in law(just putting it in sports mode for him because he kept accidentally changing settings), but I took my daughter to the wetlands this past weekend and decided to spend a little time testing out this setup.  I got very few usable shots of BIF.  It appeared to be tracking them, but most were terrible upon review in the monitor.  I normally shoot with a monopod, but I wanted to focus more on spending time with my daughter than shooting, and I'll need to spend more time with this combo, but is there a reason that you turn off the image stabilization?  I'll try your settings and go on a day where I won't be distracted and vet this setup.
