Thanks again for the info Papillon. I will check out the OpTech system.
No problem.
I found the dimensions of the bag (250 x 200 x 100 mm)...not sure if it will take 2 Merrils plus the Fuji system, I will investigate a bit more (if you have the time, an inside image of your bag fully loaded would be of great help to figure all of this out!).
It depends on what lenses you are using for the X system. If you carry the 55-200mm then it might not, but if you're talking about the 18-55mm and smaller primes it should do the job. I'll see what I can do on the photo front, it may take a day or two.
And you are right, it was the classic cars thread. I was checking there for corner sharpness, didnt see any dramatic drop which is really nice (especially given what others show around in the internet).
At F8, which is mostly where I'd shoot it then there is no issue AFAIC. Like the DP1M itself it gets weaker the wider aperture you shoot. However, shooting 3:2 AR often means cropping the edges a bit and I really don't have any issues with what it can do for the price. I find I may have to up the sharpening to .3 in SPP but that's really not a problem to me. I have no idea why it's not more popular, it's a no brainer for me personally if you want to go wider and matches the FOV of the DPQ0. Maybe some of the internet comment accounts for that but I'm a great believer in real world tests/usage. This shot has not been cropped at all, I don't see anything to complain about whatsoever.

Yea, thats the thing. Im using the X-M1 with the 16-50 (should fit no problem) but I usually also carry the 50-230...that might be problematic to fit in. Anyway, ill wait for your visual input to judge.
I carry the m.zuiko 75-300mm so that won't be a problem, I think they are similar size in size
On the DP1M+GW-3 combination, that was also my thought...you get a 28 + 21 in one single Merrill envelope...what else could I ask for!? However I found some examples, especially this one (Have a look: http://www.photographerslounge.org/threads/23469/ ), that were really off-putting... could you possibly understand how corners look so awfully blurred? Of course, we dont have the shot exif but...

He shot that at F8, there is a link below the image. I have no idea why his looks like that, mine definitely doesn't as you can see above. I have shot mine quite a bit, I've never seen that kind of result. I did notice he also had corner vignetting which is obviously a result of not lining up the rubber lens hood correctly (It slides on).
That sounds good, the m.zuiko 75-300 is even bigger than the fuji 50-230 (14,9 x 9,4 x 9,4 cm vs 11,1 x 6,9 x 6,9 cm).
Yep, longer but not as wide, but not an issue.
Ok, that might explain at least the vignetting. Which then raises doubts about his ability to screw in the adapter properly!
That thought did occur to me
Just joking, who knows, the fact is your images look almost flawless in this aspect so I will be in the lookout for one of those adapters!
I can only speak from my experience of it, maybe he got a bad copy.
Thanks once again,
No probs.

A
