18-135 mm IS, no manual focus, missed a shot.

Thank you. For the LENS manual (I only had the camera manual). Thanks for the information on Back Button Focusing. Thanks for the explanation that the lens has "electronic focus." Thanks for telling me how to set back button focus.

None of that information is something that I even knew to even look for. This is why young people use their cell phones. Because it's easy.

I'm not a novice in photography and even my "new" T4i has about 30,000 images thru it. My XT had 60,000 when I semi-retired it. My excuse: way more complex than it should be.

Complexity and weight are the two main reasons I didn't upgrade out of the Rebel line. I tried the next model up and felt like I'd gone from driving a Honda Accord to The Starship Enterprise!
