That has nothing to do with an "extra, low-light-only AF module" (I'm paraphrasing what you said, not actually quoting).  That's simply the ability of the current AF module in the 6D.  Just like the sensor can go to 200,000 ISO, the AF module CMOS can use dimmer light levels.
