When I put the Galaxy NX in Manual mode and set the exposure to work with my external strobes (I'm using a wireless trigger), the screen goes very dark. I presume this is the NX simulating my chosen exposure settings. But that makes framing and focusing difficult, since the screen is essentially black.
Is there a way to configure the camera so the display only simulates the exposure when the shutter is pressed - or not at all - to make framing and focusing possible?
Bonus Question: Does anyone know if there will be a successor to the Galaxy NX, or if Samsung has given up on it?
Thanks!
When in the camera app click the settings icon (looks like a gear). When the settings window opens click the camera tab. Scroll until you find Framing Mode and turn it On.
I have no idea if Samsung will release a new version but I hope they do. I love my Galaxy NX. They could at least take one of the Galaxy NX's best features and add it to the NX1: focus peaking that's on all the time for Non-Samsung lenses. I have the NX1 configured in such a way that it's easier than the default requirement of clicking the OK button each time, but I shouldn't have to click a button at all.
