It depends on the camera you're using, the GM1 and 12-32mm is very different compared to the EM1 and 12-40mm for street shooting. The bigger the rig the more attention you attract in my experience.

I use the 12-40mm on an E-P5 and somehow it does get less attention in the street.

  • I use the LCD so am clearly not a serious photographer.
  • The 12-40mm has no white printing on the front so looks black and smaller to the victim.
  • I think the silver E-P5 is weirdly somehow less obvious than the black E-P5 (I have both).

Nevertheless, the little 12-32mm is on the wish list for later just to make a smaller outfit for casual walks on sunny days.
