NX1 goes to the Norfolk Botanical Garden . . .

. . . and finds a pair of Zebra Swallowtails:

Low resolution image. Go to the link for the original.

The original images that comprise the above, plus a comfortable Sunday afternoon stroll through the garden with the NX1 and 16-50mm f/2.0-2.8 S, 50-150mm f/2.8 S and 60mm f/2.8 Macro can be found here: Norfolk Botanical Garden 2015 . Besides the flora, fauna includes a Hickory Horn Devil munching on its lunch, as well as a future Bandit Sphinx, future Spicebush and future Buckeye. In order to observe Garden etiquette, all three lenses were necessary so as to not trample in the beds. However a kind staff member allowed me to "step in" for the male Zebra above right. They are very accommodating to photographers and he knew if I took the time to change from the 60mm to the 50-150mm, I would have missed the shot. Much appreciated.

For those interested, a second gallery from the Garden in 2009 is included in the same Eastern Virginia portfolio here: Norfolk Botanical Garden 2009

For full screen slideshows, click the gray Slideshow button above the reduced size slideshow on top of the Gallery page.

Thanks for looking in, and comments are welcome.
