You are not going to take pictures "officially" at weddings, are you?

Usually being a wedding photographer requires skills and experience, considering the importance of the day.

Anyway, as a general rule Auto (a green box, a green dot, etc) is always a menace, partly because it takes too much control away from you.

Flash is complicated, and the mode settings (P, S or T, A for aperture, M for manual) are important, depending on whether flash is your main light, or just some fill in a shot where ambient light is most important. GEt a book about photography, and study this part.

To shorten recycling times, change the ISO to 200 or 400.

Take some test shots at 100, 200, and 400 and make 12 x 18 prints, and see if there is a quality difference that bothers you.

Plus, plan your shots. a few seconds between pictures doesn't matter when you are working carefully.
