Hi all,
I've ordered a GX7 but haven't received it yet, so I'd appreciate it if anyone can answer this question.
Is there a setting to display image review after capture only on the LCD, thus freeing up the EVF for continued framing/capture?
I suppose if not, I could set a CF button to toggle image review on/off as a workaround, in case I want to capture a quick sequence of shots?
Thanks.
Big Ga has a good question on your concern.
However, for all Panny bodies, you could set the duration of "Auto Review" from OFF/1 sec/3 Sec/5 Sec/Hold to suit for your need.
In fact you don't need to assign a key for the job as there is already a "Play Back" key there to do the job.
I know this is an older thread, I'm going through random threads on the Gx7 doing my due diligence before possibly pulling the trigger on one. Is there really no sub 1 sec image review option on this body? I'm assuming tapping or half pressing the shutter button will bring it quickly back to normal shooting mode if needed?
No and Yes.
Except for the specific option as above, we cannot select any other review time on GX7. But as you said, the review would be cancel anytime when the shutter is touched.
As a matter of fact, would it be having any practical use to have review (says 0.5 sec) as short as a blinking eye!
I normally set review to OFF because under the good real time preview, a reference to the real time histogram, plus Constant Preview (Aperture and shutter speed effect) in case of doubt, I have almost 90%+ confidence on the image before it was shot. I turn it off to give way for my next shot faster.
Thanks Albert, I'm pretty sure my E-m5 had it. Some kind of 0.5 second preview which comes in handy enough reviewing pics on the evf while out and about. I thought it was quite silly at first but I was surprised being able to quickly check the last image and being able to move on to taking the next image. After that 0.5 sec preview 1 full second feels like an age!
Glad to know you love your gear. Lets shoot more and enjoy them...
