Hi

As a follow up to this thread:

I've just bought the Oly (it's being discounted heavily here in the UK), as my Panasonic suffered from shutter shock until I moved to Oly E-M10 and E-M5II bodies, using the anti-shock '0' setting.

Of course the Oly lens is weather sealed but I do find the Panasonic IQ amazingly good for the type of lens it is. So, has anyone tried both and compared IQ?

I'm wondering if, despite the discount, I simply stick with what I have and return the Oly (I've not opened the box) for a refund?

As the 14-150 mark 1 and mark 2 seem to be very similar in design (only different coating and less onion ring bokeh).

I compared 14-150 I and 14-140 II recently.

The pana lens has much more vignette. Medium FL is weak (25-40mm). And sometimes it has mis-focus at infinity with my OMDs. But if it nails it, it is very sharp at the long end.

The old Oly is better at the short end up to 50mm but much weaker at the long end. Vignetting is better but not good and the bokeh is smoother.
