Replacing my K100D

I bought my K100D new in 2006.  It's been a good camera, although the past couple of years I haven't used it as much because 1) I've taken a couple of international trips where I needed to pack light, so I took a Fuji S4530, and 2) I'm not consistently getting well-focused photos from the 100D.  That last may be my fault, maybe I just can't hold it steady anymore.  Or maybe I'm just not using it correctly.  Anyway, after the last trip, to England and Scotland, I found myself wishing I'd taken a DSLR with me, even with the extra weight and space it would have added.  So I've been thinking more and more about replacing my 100D.  I would like to stay with Pentax because I have a small lens collection, and I just like Pentax - I had a Pentax Program Plus from 1984 until I sold it in 2010.  I can't really justify spending for a pro-level camera, so I'm looking at the lower line Pentax cameras.  I don't mind getting a used camera, I don't need bleeding edge stuff.  I've looked at/thought about the K-x, the K-r, the K-50.  Especially the K-50.  What would be the biggest differences I would find between my K100D and the K-50?  Would a K-r or K-x be enough of a change to be worth the move?  Or should I be looking at something else?

Thanks,

Harry
