What limitations keep you from using your Minolta more?

I still own a KM 7D which I love, but ever since I added a Sony A77 a few years ago I use the 7D a lot less (which is obviously expected when upgrading). Although I have a long list of complaints about the Sony (see this 5 post for my long user opinion), I still use it much more than the 7D. This is how I rank the top 6 reasons:

  1. No live view + snappy & bright focusing screen means MF perfection is almost impossible. Knowing that focus is perfect is something that a DSLR without live-view or CDAF simply can't provide.
  2. Dynamic range is very limited. V
  3. Less reliable AF (only center point is cross type; no AF micro-adjust)
  4. Lack of articulated screen makes shooting from the waist (and other angles) more difficult
  5. LCD resolution is poor and its colors are depressing
  6. Higher resolution (24MP vs 6MP)

What I miss the most is the user interface. The 7D was a pleasure to use, and I immediately connected with it and found it to be a natural extension. The A77 is a more capable photographic tool, but one which clearly had too many non-photographers involved in its design.

What are your reasons for under-using your Minolta gear?
