Our lens sample guidelines restrict us to base, or occasionally 1 stop over, to get the lens at its sharpest. Concert light, even at f/2, will still be too low to get this below the handheld sharpness threshold of roughly 1/200.

You could just set the camera to 1/200 sec and let the camera pick the ISO. Then fire a burst of shots and usually there should be something very sharp among it. If you would only use the camera JPEGs or even RFC2/Silkypix one would hardly see much difference anyway, also with the noise reduction at high ISO which cannot be turned off, better try RawTherapee for critical sharpness.

Spotlights can be quite bright. I once used a Tamron 90mm at f/2.8, ISO 1600 1/100 sec on a EOS 5D.
