Hi: I just bought a used 550EX to use with my T2i. Do the focus assist light on the flash work with the T2i. I've read the manuals for both and it is unclear. Needless to say the lights don't work!
Thanks,
Donald
Yes, AF Assist Light and all other features of the 550EX should work, with the following caveats: (1)The 550EX is not recognized in the camera's Flash menu, its mode and custom functions have to be set on the speedlite. Make sure the AF Assist Light setting on the speedlite is Enabled. (2) the AF Assist Light is disabled if the AF mode is AI Servo.

Thank you. Problem solved for I had the camera set on AI Servo.
