Hi all.

Was going through my photo's to sort and came across this Large Brown Mantis which caught itself a feed. It didn't notice the Moth initially (maybe was too distracted by the cameraman) but it didn't take long before he got into a striking position and caught dinner.

Enjoy!

Hi there fancy a portrait of me

Too busy looking at me and not noticing the moth below infront

Another portrait pose

Ready to Strike after realising there is a moth there

Dinner time

Almost finished

It was delicious (lick, lick)

What's he looking at me like that for?

They are hungry little bastards all right. Below are a few mantis sets from a year earlier than yours. The first was caught at "lunch-time". The one I encountered was green rather than grayish brown. But both are clearly well camouflaged in view of their respective environment.
