You want to use the lens for video, correct?

If so, note that the Canon 70-200/F4 has 2 modes of image stabilisation where the Mode 2 can be very useful for video as it just stabilizes vertical movements. This ensures smooth horizontal panning without getting the stabilizer in the way by trying to compensate for your panning. I am not sure if the Sigma has this feature, too.

And unless you're shooting with an external microphone, you might find the stabiliser of the Canon lens a little noisy. Nothing you would be able to hear or pick up with a mic 20cm away, but would be picked up by an internal mic.
