Re: NX corrupting files

Most likely what is happening is that the camera is being switched off while it is still busy emptying the buffer to the card, and this of course is resulting in corrupt files. The same thing will happen to any computer if you switch off power while it is writing a file to storage. Depending on what you are doing there can be quite a lag period while the processing is going on, particularly in operations that tend to fill up the buffer, such as burst shooting, video or long exposures.

That's not a plausible explanation as the power switch is merely a software button. There could be a problem with software routine handling the event of the switch being flipped, but that would be a bug, not a user error.

I have tested my NX mini (which is based on the same software platform as the NX3000) and it doesn't display such behaviour. I'd say that this is a bug specific to NX3000.

...Which leads me to a question: have you been able to reproduce this bug under the latest firmware (v1.11)? It claims to have improved memory card compatibility and also fixed other bugs.
