I often read of fellow forumers travelling to some Asian countries and wondering:"Should I buy my gear in my country, or will I get a better deal over there?"

Today I bought the 2 super small Panny zooms, the 12-32 and 35-100 (not the f2.8, of course) at the following prices:

12-32: 4700nt = 150~$

35-100: 6700nt = 215~$

Both lenses are imports from Hong Kong, so 1 year local warranty only. My wild guess is that in Honk Kong prices should be similar or a tad bit lower.

Just a heads for people travelling around here!

This world sometimes is very strange.

In Hong Kong, imported prices on these twin tiny zooms would be around US$480 and as heard, most of them would be imported from either Singapore or Malaysia. Principally they would be on as is basis and 1 year shop guarantee might value nothing.

For products from the sole authorized dealer, it would be around US$700 having 1 years mfr's warranty.
