It's not just weight savings; m4/3 already provides significant weight savings in the bodies, for example, with the E-M1 being much lighter than say the E-3/E-5. But what is even more significant is the reduction in bulk when you compare the bodies. That reduction in bulk makes handling far superior and more comfortable over a day of use.

The lenses can't always be smaller or lighter, if you want fast and high quality. There are always going to be trade-offs. I will gladly trade size and weight for speed and quality, which is why I hold onto my 4/3 SHG lenses. Much the same will also apply to the bodies, durability will still call for a degree of weight, if not size.
