I've done a search looking for how I can get a shutter count for a 1100D/T3. Would someone please refer me to a link or a file?

Thanks

Randy

With my old Nikon, I could read the shutter count in the EXIF data using exiftool, however recent Canon DSLRs do not write the shutter count to the EXIF data.

I bought the ShutterCount app (http://www.direstudio.com/shuttercount) when I bought a refurbished EOS 70D. There are both Mac and Windows (7.1 Sp 1 or later) versions of the app (I have the Mac version).

Your 1100D/T3 is listed as one of the supported cameras.

After opening the App and connecting your camera via USB, the ShutterCount app will read and display the camera model number, the serial number, and shutter count from the camera.

Thanks jtstanco the Dire Studio app worked so it was totally worth the couple of quid.

My 650D has clocked up nearly 98K!
