The thing is, the moment that you start thinking and acting like you're old, that's when you become old and start going downhill.
Amen to that.
I watched my father, uncle, grandfather, and now my younger brother grow old and go downhill quickly. I climb mountains and keep myself busy constantly with physical chores. I feel wonderful at age 62, the same age my father had his quadruple bypass heart surgery and started his long decline. I refuse to follow that path.
Sorry for the rant. Your comment struck a chord with me.

Double amen to that.
In my case still doing chores that I maybe should not be at age 73 but due to herbal help (daughter a naturopath and herbalist) I reckon my brain is back about age 25. During the recent jet-lag problem I felt my brain being old and it was scary. Once recovered I could "see" my brain working again and "see" the usually about 4 projects going on in there in the background at the same time.
So I feel great, will be better when I rid the house of mirrors and stop taking selfies so as not to get reminders of the fact I guess that I am getting old.
Grandchild #5 was born the other day, so that helps, looking forward to stay around long enough to see Jessica grow up.
Luckily I'm still above ground, an extract from my recent travel page......On the left my great-grandparents, and on the right my great-great-grandparents, and my great-great-great-grandparents are right next to these off to the right on a flat tombstone on the ground......
In a cemetery in East Budleigh, Devon, England.
So I hope to stay topside for a few more years yet.
