It may well be possible to simultaneously control pairs of Sony QX1 and/or QX30 using Sony's LVR2 (primarily intended for action-cam control).

Sony support indicates on a QX10 page (http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/support-info.pl?info_id=1530&mdl=DSCQX10 ) that LVR2 multiple camera control works for the QX1 and QX30 (but not the QX10). I have also seen Sony information indicating it was not supported, but that was a while ago and may have been out-of-date information.

Depending on unpredictable interference by mental disabilities, I will try to test this soon.

A QX30, QX1 and LVR2 were acquired a while ago, piece by piece, in part to try multiple camera control for an eventual move upward from my Fuji W3. So far I haven't managed to tackle trying it out. At least a little because I wasn't functionally ready to deal with the necessary StereoPhoto Maker post processing - or ready to buy another QX1 + lens/lenses if it worked well   :}

I would not expect the LVR2 to coordinate zooming on two QX30s, and have not explored StereoPhoto Maker's ability to handle mismatched AOVs. I suppose those who have worked with pairs of compacts have already worked the latter out.

{please excuse my not digging further for supporting or confirming information - it took me towards two hours to write this as it is}
