Re: Sx60 hs. Handheld at 65X. Who said this thing has poor IQ?

Not sure how can a 3 (three) Mp, or 2000x1500 downsized image from a 16 Mp (SX60) capture be a suitable evidence to judge relative IQ against a 12 Mp SX50.
Please explain how... or tell me what I'm missing? (Maybe just a crop/no downsizing?)
Yea. These *changes* in IQ are likely based on pixel peeping at 100%. Obviously a similar sensor at higher mp is going to not be as sharp fully cropped.
Still waiting for objective proof of this IQ loss... Sobfar just a lot of talk.
What about the test shootout, from Imaging Resource that showed the SX50 and SX60 shooting same subjects...not controlled in studio test shots, but real world shooting?

Just a lot of shots compared.....and the reason for the talk, as well as opinions from owners of both cameras.
But folk buying a SX60 camera must defend their purchase, no ?
Check the above link, and see for yourself how quite a few superzooms handle IQ, in various settings, outside studio controlled tests.
Let me know what you think, after seeing the results.
Thanks

As already mentioned several times, and as shown in your link there (thanks for proving my point), they are showing 1:1 at full resolution. Downsample the sx60 images to the low res of the sx50 and you'll find there's little difference, if any. If done in this manner, I'm not saying its impossible the sx50 won't produce some sharper images at various focal lengths, but the sx60 will likewise beat out sx50 at various focal lengths.
