Boring focal length usage stats
3

Just thought that I would weigh in with a wrap-up of my 6 weeks holiday and some potentially meaningless statistics of lens use. It seems that I took 4,805 stills on E-P5 and Lyn many more stills on her Casio ZR850.

Here's the E-P5 stats.....

The 12-40mm used most hence the bumps at 12mm and 40mm. Most scenery shots I shoot at 12mm in order to better crop/straighten/whatever later, but it seems that I used other focal lengths as well.

The "0mm" bump is the Samyang 7.5mm, used more than I expected, very useful in confined places or huge internal vistas like in cathedrals.

The 9-18mm was hardly used, so could have lived without it. The Pana 45-150mm had occasional use, so light and small that it was wise to carry it.

Meanwhile the Casio cameras did this, 8,124 images total, by far the most Lyn's on Casio ZR850 and a handful on my Casio ZR1000......

Lyn's camera 25-450 equivalent and mine is 24-300mm equivalent, so the little blob at 4mm is my ZR1000 at 24mm equivalent. As usual Lyn does most scenery at 25mm equivalent. The 81mm shown is 450mm equivalent but that would include special stacking modes that can take it to up to 4x that maximum. Handheld 1800mm equivalent maximum and it usually works with the faked up 5 axis stabilisation and stacking methods of the Casio.

Now to disappear for months while I try to sort through the mess, also the 271 video clips that I've yet mostly to look at and see if all are of my feet or something useful. As I travelled I managed to make a brief summary for relatives and friends at home, hastily resized and edited on my netbook so not the best stuff to look at. http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~parsog/2015%20Ire-UK/index.html and it's a mixture of E-P5 and Casio shots.

Regards...... Guy
