As a clear(ish) evening was forecast last Saturday I took the XT1 & tripod with me on a fishing expedition off the rocks.
Managed to capture a nice (I think so anyway) shot of the convergence of Jupiter & Venus, just a shame I couldn't keep my head still for the length of the exposure.
Image is taken at Omaha, NZ. XT1 and 14mm lens. Iso 3200, F3.6 at 25seconds. Shot raw and processed in C1, some additional tweaks to contrast done in Perfect Photo.
(the fishing was terrible, it seems the fish weren't that excited by the astronomical event).
Convergence of Jupiter and Venus
Curious, is Venus the bigger/brighter object in this shot ?
