I have acquired a Samsung NX10 which has had NX11 firmware 01.12 added to it.

I have the original NX10 firmware DVD.

1. How do I delete the NX11 firmware as it i want to install version 01.32 of the NX10 firmware.

2. How do I get the NX10 firmware I have on the DVD into the camera.

You may be stuck with an NX11. I'm fairly sure that NX11 firmware 1.11 was the last that contained the hidden service menu. You would need to access that menu to downgrade the firmware or to load NX10 firmware again.

Similarly, N10 firmware 1.31 was the last that contained the hidden service menu. If you manage to reload NX10 firmware but want to leave open the possibilty of upgrading to NX11 again, do not load NX10 firmware later than 1.31.

Currently your camera thinks it is an NX11. The method of accessing the hidden service menu on an NX11 was as follows:

Set Mode dial to Smart Auto, Switch on, Press Up (top of 4 way controller), Press OK, Press Down (bottom of 4 way controller), then press OK once while holding down the +AV button.

If that doesn't bring up the hidden service menu, it probably no longer exists.

EDIT:

On second thoughts, I haven't tried this but you may be able to achieve what you want using the normal firmware upgrade option from the standard menu, provided the version number you try to load is higher than the existing version.  i.e.  Your camera is currently on NX11 firmware 1.12, so it may be able to load NX10 firmware with a version greater than 1.12.  The original version on your DVD won't meet that requirement, so download 1.31 or 1.32 from the Samsung web site.

From the downloaded zip file, extract the file nx10.bin, rename it to nx11.bin and copy to the root directory of an sd card.   Ensure the battery is fully charged.  Insert the sd card and switch on.  Go to the utility menus (gear icons) and find and select "Firmware Ugprade".  (It is in the 3rd utility menu on nx10, hopefully also on nx11).   The version numbers of current camera and lens firmware will be displayed.  If this is going to work, the option to upgrade to the version you put on the sd card will be available.  Select that and continue as if it were a normal software upgrade.
